A Pair of Suspects Accused for Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder in the wake of the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to investigating officers.
Watkins, 48 years old, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was taken into custody following a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were confiscated.
