The Pop Star Portrays a Dark Alter Ego of Her Own Identity in Mockumentary Teaser
The celebrated musician is preparing for a significant big screen onslaught in 2026, beginning with the satirical film titled The Moment.
In the film, Charli plays what she calls as a hell version of herself.
It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music business that I’ve ever encountered, the star commented.
She elaborated in an interview: It’s far from a live performance documentary, however the inspiration came from the pressure to produce one.
A Glimpse into The Project
The initial preview, released on Thursday, mixes actual recordings from her live performances with imagined backstage scenes.
The film is directed and co-written by her collaborator, who revealed that the plot centers on a world where the singer took completely different paths during the promotion of her smash hit album Brat.

Additionally, she signed on to feature in Dakota Johnson’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

Next February will also see the debut of Emerald Fennell’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will feature new music from the singer.
She is also set to compose the score for the film Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch in the coming year.
The mockumentary is scheduled to debut on the 30th of January.
